Sorbabe Shooters: Lavender Lemon Drops

Kick your next party into high gear with these fabulous shooters. Waltz out into the crowd with a platter of these babies and watch em fly…

For these shots you will need:

One
pint Sorbabes Fresh Squeezed Lemon Sorbet with Candied Zest (now available online at FoodyDirect)

Good
vodka (we like Belvedere)

Shot
glasses or mini cups (pictured here 100% compostable GreenWare)

Lavender
Infused Syrup (make ahead): Can be substituted for a pre-made syrup, we like Organic Lavender Lemon Simple Syrup by Royal Rose found at Dean & Deluca.


1 cup water


1 Tbsp lavender
flowers


Bring water and
lavender to a boil in a saucepan.


Add ½ cup sugar
and 1 cup honey and stir constantly until sugar is completely dissolved.. If preferred, honey can be omitted and replaced with equal parts sugar.


Reduce heat and
simmer for 5 minutes.


Remove from
heat, allow to cool, strain and bottle.


Refrigerate until cool.

Begin to assemble the shots:

Pour one cup of vodka and half cup of lavender syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously.

Put a small
scoop of sorbet in bottom of cups

Pour over vodka
lavender cocktail and garnish with lavender and lemon zest.

Serve quickly as
sorbet begins to slowly melt into the vodka infusion and turn into a flavor explosion. Enjoy!
